App: How Interesting Are You?
Now that we are getting a good number of scores I would love to start sharing significant events via tweets from @twtrank. At the same time, I don’t want to do this in a way that ends up being noise or completely irrelevant. I’m thinking about some of the following for potential tweet examples:
- @user just set a happiness record with a score of 125. The average happiness score is 18.80.
- 57 tweeters signed up for http://howinterestingareyou.com today.
- @user just submitted the 1,000th score on http://howinterestingareyou.com
- Tweeters with a >50 social media score record a -25% drunkenness on average.
Please let me know if you would be interested in following @twtrank if these are the types of tweets sent out. If so how many tweets do you think the max should be per hour.
Thanks for the feedback and happy tweeting!

App: How Interesting Are You?
Initially scores were very confusing. Maybe you scored a 20 on the ‘How happy are you?’ question and naturally assume you are a grinch. Little do you know, the average happiness score is 18.80 and 20 makes you above average.
Here is a screenshot showing the new average/max scores.

I almost exclusively used Sitepoint to learn the vast majority of my dev skills so now, years later, I feel obligated to reference them as my first coding resource.

The Bueda demo shows how you can use Bueda to semantically analyze your tags. I could see myself using this API for categorization, IA, ad management or expanding the context of an item by showing sibling/parent items. I might even improve my ‘How Interesting Are You‘ algo with the API.

Above is a screenshot of what the API may provide. How great would it be to be able to automatically show a decent image for a tag without worrying about wrongly categorized Flickr images? Of course this assumes Bueda doesn’t use Flickr for images. I’m still eagerly awaiting my key so I’m just speculating at this point.
